As an artist, it's always fun to see an animal come alive on the canvas before you. My reference photo was rather drab, so I needed to get creative to bring the spirit of this guy to the viewer. It's so important to me when I paint, that I can help the viewer connect to the subject. I think this guy steps up and talks, don't you?
